Security and Privacy Our site uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide encryption of personal information such as your name, address and credit card details. In this way, information passed between your computer and us cannot be read in the unlikely event of someone intercepting it. You can check that you are shopping in a secure environment by looking for either a locked padlock icon (Internet Explorer)or an image of a key (Netscape) in the grey bar at the bottom of your screen. This should appear on any page where you are entering personal information (such as your credit card details) - no other page will transmit information about you. Credit Card / Bank Details This comparison services site does not process card payments of any sort and there is no requirement for the public to pay for this service. It is free to the general public shopping for products offered through this site. However, if you click through to a providers site to purchase a product, we recommend your read the providers security and privacy statements to ensure your details are being processed in a secure forum. We will not accept any liability for the processing of detail on the provider (s) direct sites. Passwords When you enter your details in to the website, you can set up a logon and password, personal to you and your data. You can the access your data at a time convenient for you, if you wish, without having to it all again. Your password will not be exposed to any unauthorised person within Call Connection Limited or to any person outside of Call Connection. What happens if you forget your password? Follow the link on the site and a new one will be emailed to you. Privacy Call Connection take the protection of your data very seriously and have notified the Information Commissioner of our intention to process personal data and commitment to do so in accordance with the laws they enforce; The Data Protection Act 1998.
When we collect your personal and where required sensitive data on the forms on CompareMore@i4insurance, the data is collated using secure methods. The data is stored on the Call Connection Limited database to enable it to be posted to product providers sites to obtain the comparison service. At this stage the product provider receives your data through a posting to their web service, but is not allowed to use it for any purposes other than to provide a quotation to the comparison services website. If you chose to purchase a product from one of the providers, you will then be giving them permission to use your data for the purpose of administering the contract and any other permissions they require. You must check providers policies carefully to ensure you know what permission your are granting them. Call Connection Limited will have shared ownership of the data you submit to the website, for the purpose of providing the comparison service, to provide you with any other information on products provided by either party and we may share your data with other third party marketing companies to provide you with information on products we feel may be of interest to you. We may also contact you at a future date to assist with comparison services of other products or at the renewal date of the product you have enquired about after visiting our site. Where we offer you a comparison service, in the future, it will be based on the information you originally submit to the site, you must check this information carefully. If there have been any changes to the data, you are responsible for re-submitting the data to gain an accurate and up to date comparison, to ensure the correct comparison is provided. Before you provide us with any information about other people, you must get their permission. This applies to all information you provide about them, but especially to sensitive data such as health information or criminal proceedings or convictions. In submitting their details, you are confirming to us that you have their permission to do so, and that they understand how their information will be used under the terms of this Privacy and Security Statement. Unsolicited e-mails While we make every effort to restrict access to your contact details, by masking certain parts of the data, some product providers cannot offer a price to the comparison list without an email address. Where this is required, we have established agreements with these organisation not to send you unsolicited e-mails. We monitor firms by placing seed data into their systems to ensure we do not receive any unsolicited contact. We also do not opt-in to any contact options, on your behalf, to further prevent your data being used in a way in which you would not want. If you experience any problems with unwanted contact, please notify Call Connection Limited at comments@callconnection.com. Purchasing your product Once you have received your comparison service from us, Call Connection will attempt a courtesy call to you, if you wish to speak to one of the product providers direct, to discuss your quotation, you will be transferred direct to the company. Call Connection may also contact you though email and SMS (text message service) to help you get to the product you need. Call Connection will not provide any advice on the products you have been offered, or provide a specific recommendation; they will act only as a call transfer agency to get you in touch with the appropriate companies. You will not be able to purchase any products through CompareMore@i4insurance. Call Connection Limited may record any form of contact made to you, for training, security and monitoring purposes. Access to such recordings will be restricted to Call Connection, unless a formal request, in accordance with UK Laws, is made for the purpose of administering a product you may have purchase, in you vital interests, to meet any legal obligation, to assist in the prevention or detection of crime, or for the purposes of legitimate interest of the data controller.
